We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have bought DevilDog Sauces!
DevilDog has, over the last 7 years, become a much-loved staple in many people’s kitchen cupboards and the perfect accompaniment at BBQ’s across the Northwest and beyond. The initial creation of the incredibly talented exec chef Liam Kirwan, the sauces have always focussed on the best natural ingredients and the quality of the product. It has always been about flavour rather than heat. DevilDog is a fantastic example of the suppliers we use at Butchers Quarter – small batch, passionate ownership
and of course, quality.
Liam announced in January that he and his wife were moving to Australia and production ceased around that time. We have worked with Liam over the last 3 months to structure a deal that keeps him involved in the business – concentrating mainly on new recipes and product development, although he may be found lying on the beach drinking beer!
We are thrilled to be keeping this innovative local brand going and can’t wait to get the old favourites back on the shelves, which is likely to be just in time for the BBQ weather, later this summer – but we will be updating regularly on both websites and social media.
So, watch this space – and just in case you are craving your DevilDog fix, we still have some flavours in stock at BQ!!
Our owner Graeme said; “I am thrilled that we have purchased DevilDog sauces as it is fundamentally a fabulous product and Liam is a top guy! It is a perfect fit with the butchery business and our customers are already huge fans. I am also delighted that Liam is remaining as a consultant and will lead on all product development. We have lots of ideas around the DevilDog range including a quality set of marinades whichI think will be a very popular BBQ addition”.
Liam said; I am delighted and relieved that the DevilDog Sauce brand is going to
continue! Butchers Quarter completely shares our ethos and values. These sauces were
always about taste rather than heat made in small batches using the finest ingredients. We are off to Australia later this year but I will be working closely with the new team and am delighted that we leave DevilDog in good hands!”
